Thirteen candidates conclude training in fields including marketing, technical, human resources and finance, with scope for full-time employment at Africell upon completion.
The second group of thirteen interns has successfully completed a six-month internship at Africell’s Angola headquarters in Luanda as part of the Caminho do Bem programme, a collaboration between the Africell Impact Foundation and the Fundação Arte e Cultura, a subsidiary of the Menomadin Foundation.
The programme, which was launched in 2025, gives ambitious young people from marginal communities in Angola’s capital city the opportunity to undertake formal work experience placements at Africell, a major national brand and a leader in Angola’s corporate ecosystem. Interns receive structured exposure to and training in disciplines including marketing, technical, human resources and finance, and the most ezceptional participants are invited to join Africell as full-time employees at the conclusion of their internships.
“The Caminho do Bem programme is a signature initiative for the Africell Impact Foundation,” explains Marise Aoun, one of the project’s origina architects. “It sits at the sweet spot where social impact and business needs interact. The programme gives life-changing opportunities to deserving young people, contributes meaningfully to Angola’s national capacity-building, and at the same time gives Africell exclusive access to some of the country’s most promising hidden talent.”
Enrique Mambote, one of the thirteen interns, says that it was an honour to spend time embedded in Angola’s fastest growing telecommunications company.
“For many young Angolans, establishing a professional career is extremely difficult,” he says. “Caminho do Bem shatters barriers, gives us confidence and serves as a springboard for better futures.”
The next batch of Caminho do Bem interns is expected to be selected and to begin their placements in the second half of 2026.
