Africell has released Africa Creates, a stunning YouTube-first documentary series shining a spotlight on hidden examples and untold stories of African creativity.
The series, which features episodes about Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, The Gambia and Sierra Leone, covers ground from iconic wildlife to traditional dancing, and from national sports to endangered forms of craftsmanship. The purpose of the series is to represent in a digestible, beautifully-produced visual format some of the cultural and social richness of the countries in which Africell operates.
“Africa Creates is Africell’s invitation to the world to discover the voices, creativity, culture and stories of our operating markets,” explains Chirine Labaki, Africell’s Content Manager and the director of the documentary series.
“Africa Creates tells stories of places that each have their own identity, energy, landscapes, traditions, and people, but which are unified by a common spirit of fun, curiosity and collaboration.
“Through Africa Creates, we celebrate the people, places, talent, and stories that make each of these countries unique and bring them to a wider world.”
