Afrimoney users in Angola can now browse, buy and pay for SanlamAllianz Angola insurance products directly from their mobile wallet, under a partnership announced at this year’s Benguela International Fair.
Afrimoney, Africell’s mobile money service, has partnered with SanlamAllianz Angola to make insurance products available through its digital platform. Customers can consult, subscribe to and pay for cover directly in the wallet, opening a new route to financial protection for Angolans who have not previously used formal insurance.
The partnership means insurance can be arranged and paid for from a mobile phone, without the need to visit a physical branch. The agreement was formally presented in Luanda on 28 August and is now being rolled out to Afrimoney users and promoted at business events across the country.
At the Benguela International Fair, the largest business gathering in Angola’s central and southern regions, the partnership was presented by Rodrigo Conceição, Afrimoney Commercial Manager; Mário do Nascimento, Africell Regional Director for Benguela; and Fernanda Pinto, Commercial Director of SanlamAllianz Angola.
“The partnership with Afrimoney allows us to bring insurance closer to customers through a digital platform, making access, subscription and payment simpler, faster and more convenient,” said Fernanda Pinto.
