Africell is proud to announce the launch of CodeFast, a high-energy coding challenge created to identify and support the most talented young programmers in Angola. With only 25 places available, the initiative is open to young people aged 18–25, and seeks to deepen digital skills within the country’s growing tech ecosystem
CodeFast is more than a competition — it is an immersive, hands-on experience designed to test speed, creativity and coding excellence. Participants will work on debugging tasks, system design, and rapid development of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), under real-time mentorship and pressure. Winners will not only gain prizes but also visibility and networking opportunities with one of Africa’s leading telecom operators.
The main event takes place on 10–11 December 2025 at Africell’s Talent Lab in Luanda, with registration open until 8 December 2025. Competition is fierce — only 25 spaces for the fastest, most dedicated and creative young coders.
As Angola accelerates its digital transformation, the demand for local software talent grows rapidly. Through CodeFast, Africell aims to nurture home-grown skill, create career pathways in technology, and support the next generation of innovators. This directly aligns with Africell’s mission to not just provide connectivity, but to build the human and technological capital that drives progress across Africa.
“CodeFast is a declaration of belief in Angola’s youth,” said Brian Baltimore, Chief Projects and Customer Experience Officer at Africell Angola. “We know there is incredible talent out there — creative, smart and ready to build digital futures. By creating this challenge, we give young coders a platform to shine, learn, and connect. This isn’t just about writing code — it’s about launching careers, boosting local tech capacity, and investing in the future of our country.”
Interested candidates aged 18 to 25 can apply via the Africell website or the CodeFast registration portal. Spaces are strictly limited — early application is strongly encouraged.
