Africell Sierra Leone celebrated International Women’s Day on 5 March at its Head Office in Freetown, in collaboration with UN Women, the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland.
The event brought together a panel of inspiring voices for a discussion on women’s empowerment and progress in Sierra Leone, reflecting Africell’s commitment to advancing gender equity both within the company and across the communities it serves.
The celebration also recognised outstanding women from across Africell’s departments, with awards presented to staff members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and impact. Female employees were additionally treated to a range of special gifts including spa treatments, cash prizes, data, and airtime.
