On the day of the great derby between Petro de Luanda and 1.º de Agosto, held at the 11 de Novembro Stadium, Angola’s premier football club Petro de Luanda and Africell officially announced a strategic partnership during an exclusive press conference.

The agreement was formalized with the signing of the contract by Tomás Faria, President of Petro de Luanda, and Jorge Vazquez, CEO of Africell Angola.

The partnership is a unique collaboration between two of Angola’s most iconic brands, united by shared values of leadership, innovation, and commitment to national development.

The new partnership aims to drive a joint journey of growth, based on strategic plans that will bring dynamism, modernity, and new experiences to both Angolan football fans and Africell customers.

“This partnership strengthens the trust and forward-looking vision between two institutions that represent Angola’s strength and talent,” said Tomás Faria.

Jorge Vazquez, meanwhile, said: “This is a smart commercial partnership for us, because by teaming up with Angola’s most popular football side, not only do we get access to its young and passionate fan base, but we also get to advance our general mission of having a positive social impact – whether that is through digital technology, sports, or the innovative combination of the two.”
